Palace Captive

I was in a Princess Zelda mood for once, and I blame it on the short one-shot I did as a break from writing Rend (it's here if you're curious) [link]

This is probably one of the most underappreciated Zeldas ever, which is a shame since her design is pretty neat. In the picture she's in the middle of glaring at Vaati because she's upset about how he's too stupid full of himself to listen to her. In the one-shot she actually cares about him at this point, so she's upset and in angry tears because she's worried about him
She's also upset at herself because she doesn't want him to see her cry.

(WARNING: Long rambling coming up - may be irrelevant to non fanfic readers )
Also when I wrote the story I mentioned in the author's notes that it was going to be added to the story about the captive maidens I talked about a while ago, but now that I thought about it, I can't do that. It's chronologically impossible because after I looked it up, it apparently goes something like:

1.) Vaati kidnaps a bunch of maidens for the heck of it
2.) Vaati is sealed by some unmentioned hero (probably Link?)
3.) Vaati escapes and captures Four Sword Zelda to marry her
4.) Four Sword commence
5.) shit happens, Vaati's resealed
6.) Link pulls the sword/screws up = Four Swords Adventures commence

Exciting idea one: The story about the maidens can't work in conjunction with the VaaxZel one-shot because Vaati is sealed between those times. Therefore...

I am seriously considering splitting it up into two stories instead, and extend the VaaxZel one-shot into something more meaningful. (yay claps and cheers)

Exciting idea two: Hokay, so I like evil Vaati. Like, really really like evil Vaati. BUT. I was thinking that if I went ahead with the maiden story as I had initially imagined it, I would probably make him OOC evil. Like, TOOOOO evil. Irredeemably so. Let me explain:

Because the way I had initially planned it, there would be no moral to the story and everything would suck for everyone and the readers would probably be left feeling angry and depressed and butthurt by the unfairness of it all. Sure, I like some of that stuff, but there's such a thing as moderation... and therefore I'm going to make it less intense.
AND because of this I can make the VaaxZel the perfect sequel with either justice or redemption for whatever I let happen in the maiden story, to smooth over any shitty emotions that are left over from that. Yeah... you guys have no idea what I'm talking about I'm sure... OTL

Exciting idea three: How cool would it be if the hero who sealed Vaati (the one we don't really know about) was actually a heroine? Let that sink in your head for a while, you'll see

And that is all. I'm pretty fired up about these stories again now that I'm planning them out for fun, but hey it's going to be forever and a half until I actually get to it. Gotta finish Rend, and then OA is next!
Afterwards though... it's a possibility :>
